Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a marvelous tool to access blocks that keep you from being successful – whether it is overcoming stress and anxiety, weight management, stopping smoking, becoming pregnant, or any other challenge you may face.
How Hypnotherapy Works
Hypnosis is the bypass of the critical factor of the conscious mind by progressive relaxation. . . The critical factor of the mind is constantly distracted by environmental conditions, experiences, and suggestions that are not always in our best interests. Therefore, faulty habits, inhibitions, emotions, and beliefs are created and become imprinted. A screen created by the critical factor prevents messages that could ameliorate the situation from entering the subsconscious, and the imprints remain intact. Hypnosis creates a state of relaxation that allows a path to be made directly to the subconscious, bypassing the critical and analytical mind. Old, undesirable imprints are eliminated; new therapeutic messages are substituted.
The relaxation of hypnosis allows us to see beyond the distractions of our everyday lives. Like a zoom lens on a camera, we are able to see below the surface and examine those habits and emotions that we want to modify and we are able to select substitutions that are a better fit with our goals.
